Mythic Resonance

My latest anthology acceptance is Mythic Resonance, and ’tis another Australian genre anthology. Yes, two. I know, colour me shocked.

This is Specusphere’s first print publication and it’s a good one. They have really gone all out to make a good first impression, from the choice of stories to the layout of the book. All the stories are really good and I feel lucky my story was actually even accepted. Tales of heroism and of a new mythology. Just superb.

My tale is called ‘Glorious Destiny’ about an unnamed man who tries to seek immortality through his deeds, but things don’t quite work out the way he had planned.

    I liked it.

I keep thinking about poor Medusa, for example, minding her own business, having had this horrible thing done to her, and what happens? Along comes this Hero with a sword in hand and whacks her head off! Fairy tales do this too; a couple of giants are discussing who gets the magic cloak or whatever and along comes the Hero, tracks them out of it and kills them. And he’s the good guy!

I’m contacting as many folk from MR as possible, to celebrate my own sale to that great anthology. Wanna do a guest post on my blog? Email me.
