As well as writing short stories (and so many as yet unpublished novels), I have also been writing for a website called InsidePulse – http://www.insidepulse.com – for a few years. I started writing for the sports section – http://insidepulse.com/insider/stevengepp/ – but then switched to the wrestling section – http://wrestling.insidepulse.com/insider/stevengepp/ – where I still write a fortnightly column and the occasional show review.
Now, if you enjoy professional wrestling, then Inside Pulse is probably one of the better sites to go to. I write stuff that is slightly left field, and occasionally throw in elements of fiction or fantasy booking into my work. I’m not going to write about how wonderful wrestler X is, but my first few columns were about how wonderful wrestling is.
Some highlight columns (in my own damn opinion):
A comparison between pro wrestling and televised dance. (apologies for the formatting issues…)
A book review on one of the better wrestling books I’ve read, by one of the very best wrestling writers I’ve read – Scott Keith.
An attempt at wrestling humour – a dictionary of wrestling terms.
And, finally, my most recent:
Some fantasy booking about a hot topic at the moment – the Undertaker’s Wrestlemania streak.
Yes, I know wrestling is not to everyone’s taste. I understand that. But it is something I enjoy, and if I can write about it, then all the better.
